You inhale atoms that were once a part of everyone who has ever lived. We are literally breathing one another.

Conceptual Chemistry: Discovering the Atom and Subatomic Particles.

Tell me that’s not the greatest thing you’ve ever heard. At this moment you are breathing particles that belonged to Shakespeare, Gandhi, Hemingway, Jesus, Plato, anyone and everyone that has ever existed and that exists. At this exact second I am inhaling atoms you once possessed and you are breathing ones I once had. Because atoms don’t belong to us, just like it didn’t belong to any of the greats from the past.  We borrow these particles of life, and then they move on to other beings that recycle them for ever and ever into the infinite.

Science is the most beautiful thing to ever exist.
